Activision recently released Band Hero, a spin off from the original hit video game Guitar Hero. It features 65 pop centric songs, which features 3 of Taylor Swift's hits, such as "Love Story", "You Belong With Me", and the latest "Picture to Burn". The game also features an animated "vignette" or an in game character, based on Taylor Swift's image and moves. Jeff Swenty head of Cinematics at Neversoft explains this experience as "... like having the best seats in the house".
Some of the other included tracks feature songs from the Top 40 different eras, Nelly Furtado, Spice Girls, Maroon 5, Lili Allen, Hillary Duff, Fall Out Boy, Evanescence, Jackson 5, Snow Patrol, No Doubt and many more. For a detailed list visit Band Hero's official website.
The package includes a mic, a slightly redesigned drum pad with quiet drum heads in an improved floating design, which makes the pads stand out. And a guitar similar to the Guitar Hero 5, with a non slip strummer, to avoid slips and misses. Some versions include a guitar snap on cover with an image of Taylor Swift.
Band Hero is available for Sony Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo Wii. A portable version is also available for the Nintendo DS, with guitar and drum pad attachments.
