Taser is for Everybody, Even Lobsters

We've heard all sorts of news about tasering, from criminals to a legless man and even a 10 year old girl. It's time to put it to the next level. In the UK, a man invented a lobster stunner that is said to be more humane alternative than boiling the critters to death. The process involves electrocuting the lobster at 110 volts in 2.5amps, that causes an immediate interruption of the shellfish's nervous system, prolonged application causes permanent disruption, and therefore will not cause pain or distress. It can be used in other shellfishes as well like crabs and crayfishes too.

The device currently sold by a UK based company called CrustaStun. Their product and has 2 variants, the Single Stunner and the Continuous Flow Stunner.

The Single Stunner, looks like a photo copying machine with a deep bed. It is made of stainless steel with a spring steel bed with a top swinging door lid. It is used by placing the lobster in the spring steel bed with a shallow sea water brine, and after closing the lid, with a press of a button, electric current is produced that causes an instant anesthesia and kills the lobster in 5 seconds and crabs in 10 seconds.

The Continuous Flow Stunner is for industrial use. It is composed of a conveyor which passes to a water tank with an electrode positioned above it in which the lobsters are rendered unconscious and killed after it passes the tank before the cooking process takes place.

Now that makes for an electrifying meal, with lemon and butter sauce of course.
